Betty Fielding has spent 25 years lecturing on the psychology of aging to colleges, medical centers and community groups. Responding to requests, she has developed programs focusing on enhancing the quality of life through improving memory. Pearl Atkins Schwartz has written a novel, two children’s books and a collection of short stories (her second collection is in progress). One of her stories took 2nd prize in a Writer’s Digest competition. She will talk about extending your writing into “what you don’t know,” by careful research. Her proof points are stories set in Mexico and Egypt – she has never been to either place.
