Sally Tubach and Beverly Lauderdale, writers from the California Writers Club, Mt. Diablo Branch, will share their trade knowledge at the Club's luncheon meeting on December 9th at the Lafayette Hungry Hunter Restaurant at 11:30 AM. Learn the tricks of self-publishing from Sally Tubach, who will discuss her experience publishing a memoir with AuthorHouse, a print-on-demand internet publishing company. And, find out how to best use flashbacks and diary entries from Beverly Lauderdale, who will share tips on the successful use of these techniques as well as others frowned upon by editors.
 
Sally Tubach collaborated with her mother, Martha Patterson, on It Isn't A Bus: Pioneering Motorhomers Cross the USA, a memoir about their pioneering motorhome family.  She is the author of articles, reviews and both fiction and nonfiction books. She attended UCLA, Georg August University in Gottingen, and received a Ph. D. in German Literature from University of California at Berkeley. Beverly Lauderdale has written hundreds of articles for publications such as Biography, Travel & Leisure, and The Los Angeles Times. Her short stories have appeared in Essence, Thema and L.A. West.  Recently, Genesis Press released her second novel, Notes When Summer Ends. She has taught at the junior high school and college level and has led "Craft of Writing" classes for Mt. Diablo Adult Education.

Please join us at the Hungry Hunter Restaurant, 3201 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Lafayette (corner of Pleasant Hill Road) on December 9th at 11:30 a.m. Listen to two accomplished authors and share a glass of wine with your writer friends.

Menu: Roasted Salmon, Prime Rib, Forest Mushroom Chicken, Turkey Croissant Sandwich, Pasta with Vegetables. Most meals are served with rice pilaf. Every entree is served with bread, butter, mixed green salad with ranch style dressing, coffee, iced tea or soda.

Cost: $20 for CWC members; $25 for non-members
