AWARD-WINNING AUTHOR  KAREN JOY FOWLER

Clever, creative, and knowledgeable, Karen Joy Fowler will be the guest speaker at the Mt. Diablo Branch of the California Writers Club on November 13. Her most recent novel, The Jane Austen Book Club is being snatched off the bookshelves by book clubs, Austen fans, and anyone looking for original, enticing fiction.

Fowler is the author of two story collections and three award-winning novels. Two of her novels were named Notable Books for the New York Times and she was a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner award.

Join us at 10:00 to discuss The Jane Austen Book Club in a special book group led by Camille Minchino. Reservations encouraged because space is limited. Then stay for lunch and listen to Fowler talk about her writing process and much more. Reservations are required for lunch.

Both the book club and the luncheon met on November 13 at Blakes at Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek.
