Larry Habegger, Executive Editor of Travelers Tales

The California Writers Club will host Larry Habegger during the California Writers Club Mt. Diablo Branch luncheon on Saturday, October 14 at the Concord Holiday Inn. Mr. Habegger is the Executive Editor of Travelers’ Tales, publishers of anthologies and advice books for travelers. Mr. Habegger will share what it takes to create compelling and personal travel stories. Travelers’ Tales was co-founded in 1993 by Mr. Habegger with the goal of providing readers with intimate, first-hand travel experiences. Personal travel anecdotes—hallmarks of Travelers’ Tales titles—supplement and deepen the information available in traditional travel guides, bringing readers to a level of understanding beyond the more practical points of who, what, where and how. The concept evolved to include anthologies, travel books focused on women’s travel, single-author travel books and gift books. Based in Palo Alto, Travelers’ Tales currently has more than 80 titles in print and publishes approximately 10-14 titles per year.

Please join us at the Concord Holiday Inn, 1050 Burnett Avenue, on October 14 at 11:30 a.m. Network with local writers, and hear Mr. Habegger’s expert knowledge on what it takes to craft and publish compelling and personal works on travel.

Please note a change in the cost: $20 for CWC members and $25 for non-members.
