NOVELIST ANDREW SEAN GREER


The California Writers Club proudly announces that novelist Andrew Sean Greer will speak during the CWC / Mt. Diablo’s luncheon on Saturday, September 9 at the Concord Holiday Inn.  Mr. Greer is the award-winning author of The Confessions of Max Tivoli. He will share the techniques he uses for revising fiction.
       
Critics have hailed Mr. Greer as a “deft new modern master” and compared the scope and grandeur of his style to greats such as Proust and Nabokov. His best-selling novel, The Confessions of Max Tivoli received widespread accolades upon its release in 2004 including The New York Public Library Young Lions Award, the California Book Award Gold Medal and the Northern California Book Award. The novel was also an LA Times Bestseller, a SF Chronicle Bestseller and a Contra Costa Times Bestseller. Additionally, The Confessions of Max Tivoli was recognized in numerous roundup lists for the year’s best books by publications such as The San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Tribune, Newsday, Miami Herald, and Entertainment Weekly.
